High potential and gifted education (HPGE)

At Fairy Meadow Demonstration School, we are committed to nurturing the talents and potential of our High Potential and Gifted students through a diverse range of enriching initiatives. Our school offers extensive opportunities in the performing and visual arts, including participation in prestigious events such as Southern Stars and the South Coast Dance Festival, where students showcase their talents on vibrant, professional stages. Our visual artists proudly exhibit their creations annually at the renowned Keirabald Exhibition, providing a platform to celebrate their creativity and skill.

Students with a passion for music and performance can join our engaging Glee Club, fostering teamwork and artistic growth in a supportive environment. For those seeking academic challenges, we support entry into local High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) classes, as well as competitive participation in the Keira High School Community of Schools Excelsior Cup. Enrichment extends into STEM and strategic thinking through our active involvement in Robotics and our popular Chess Club, where students develop critical skills in innovation and problem-solving.

Fairy Meadow Demonstration School also has a proud tradition of sporting excellence. Our students are encouraged and supported to compete across a wide range of sports at regional, state, and even national levels, embodying dedication, skill, and sportsmanship.

Leadership development is a key focus, with a strong Student Representative Council that gives students a voice in school decision-making. The Garden Ambassadors Program and numerous leadership opportunities across the school empower students to develop confidence, responsibility, and community spirit.
